About Us

I always admired those adorable cookies in the windows of shops at Christmastime. Every year I eagerly came back to these places to be reminded of my childhood and the magic I felt peering through the frosted glass. These memories inspired a love for decorating sweets of all kinds that has led me to create The Cookie Cabin.  

Over ten years ago, I began learning the art of cookie-ing. From struggling to bake anything from a bag, I improved by taking local baking and decorating classes. I slowly started to fine-tune my skills and learned to create delicious and charming treats.  

A few years back I attended a cookie workshop in Toronto with author and bakery owner Tessa Sam. I became inspired to venture outside of my comfort zone and dreamed of one day seeing my cookies displayed on shelves much like the ones I sentimentally revisited year after year. With the encouragement of friends and family, The Cookie Cabin opened its doors.  

My hope is to bring you whimsy and nostalgia this romantic holiday; sprinkle a little extra tradition into your homes and remind you that there is always magic in the world if you look for it, especially at Christmas!
